With the success of the AI systems of Left 4 Dead, we've been continuing to develop these technologies to create new kinds of game experiences. Team Fortress 2 is an excellent "sandbox" for explorations of this sort, and we've been quietly doing so for much of this last year. Some of the results of these explorations are TF "bots" — AI-driven player proxies with simulated humanlike senses, reaction times, and tactics. Although the TFBots are not yet complete, they play a pretty decent game of King of the Hill.
TFBots are "players", and take up player slots. They run the exact same code that human players do, moving and firing weapons by pressing "virtual buttons". The bots have simulated humanlike senses, and only know what they see, hear, and touch. They also have realistic reaction times and aiming limitations. They don't "cheat" or use omniscient knowledge of the server state to make their decisions.

ATI's got the 9.12s on their official site, along with a supplementary 9.12 Hotfix that fixes problems and boosts performance in a few specific applications.
Nvidia, meanwhile, have the 195.81 betas, which add support for Flash GPU acceleration, when using Flash 10.1 Beta 2, and add a few more official SLI profiles.

The final Team Fortress 2 War Update is here! To celebrate this weekend, we also have to announce that the Soldier class have win the war ! With 6,406,065 Demomen killed, to the Demoman's score of 6,372,979 Soldiers killed. The update includes two brand new maps in two different gametypes. One CP map 'Gorge' and a CTF map 'Double Cross' and the final unlock for the soldier class 'The Gunboats'.

The official Team Fortress 2 blog have introducing the other two Soldier unlocks, "The Equalizer", a shovel-replacing pick-axe, and "The Buff Banner", a replacement for the shotgun.
The Demoman have got his other unlock as well. A sticky-launcher "The Scottish Resistance", this gun will let you detonate specific groups of stickies instead of all of them at once, and allows you twice as many sticky bombs out at one time. It also destroys enemy stickies!
