To celebrate the "three million registered players" milestone for its free-to-play web-based online multiplayer shooter Battlefield Heroes, developer DICE has released a new map (Sunset Showdown) for the ad and microtransaction-supported online game.
Battlefield Heroes general manager Ben Counsins give his statements that there are over 50,000 new players joining us every week and the vast majority of our players play for free.

DICE officially posted a new Battlefield: Bad Company 2 in-game video at the official Battlefield blog today, sharing a gameplay video which shows off the map ' Panama Canal'.
Panama Canal features a tight battle with abandoned industrial buildings, vehicles, large ships, and piles of debris everywhere with billowing smoke off in the distance as the surround forest rages of fire while the surrounding city is bombarded by enemy ballistics. The map has a four-flag setup, with two flags being more focused on vehicle warfare with IFVs and MBTs. The center flags are infantry focused and the team in control of either centre flag will get access to an attack helicopter or an AA vehicle, respectively.

The total Demomen killed by Soldiers is 4,666,558 and Soldiers killed by Demomen is 4,441,214. Also, since the Demomen are slightly behind, the first unlocks unveiled are The Eyelander and The Chargin' Targe.

The official Team Fortress 2 blog have apply a weekend update for the game besides the Soldier vs Demomen update earlier this week. The weekend update includes a brand new thing called 'Crafting'. Tired of all your duplicate weapons? Items can now be smelted down into scrap metal and used in recipes to create hats, weapons. For more information on crafting, check out the crafting page.
