DICE released a small hotfix today to fix a crashing issue when users would Alt + Tab out Battlefield 2.
A large number of players who have installed 1.50 have been unable to use ALT+TAB without the game crashing out to Windows desktop. As such and with thanks to nea_alecu doing some investigations, our programmers have come up with a fix.
* Download the attached file
* Extract it into your Battlefield 2 install directory (you must have v1.50 installed already)
* When prompted accept that you want to over write the existing file
* In My Documents go to Battlefield 2\mods\bf2 and delete the cache directory
* Run BF2 as normal
We are also working on a full installer which will be the 2Gb file for those who are new to Battlefield 2 v1.50. This will replace existing files once ready and I will post here when that is released.
You can grab the hotfix from here.

The Forgotten Hope team have released v2.2 today of their total conversion mod for Battlefield 2.
Welcome to Part 3 of the Forgotten Hope Road to 2.2. In this update you will find the instructions to install version 2.2 and of course the password to the torrent file. Furthermore, we also have a list of unpassworded regular download mirrors available for everyone who doesn't like torrents.
So, without further ado, the password to the 2.2 torrent is:
Installation instructions:
If you downloaded the torrent version of Forgotten Hope 2.2, you will first have to extract the installation files. You will need a program like WinRar to do this. After you have extracted these files, you will have the same two installers that can be downloaded at the regular mirrors listed above. Before you start installing anything, you first have to do two things. First, you must remove your old Forgotten Hope 2 version, if you have it installed. You can do this the regular way, via windows, or you can simply delete '/fh2/' in '/Battlefield 2/mods/'. Next, you have to update to Battlefield 2 version 1.5. Read the rest...

After nearly a year, the Battlefield 2 v1.50 patch has been released! With eight new maps and 2GB in size, the both 'Armored Fury' and 'Euro Force' booster packs include. As promised, you can download the torrent file from here. A alternative mirror list can be found here.
The 2GB patch includes one of the biggest list of changes since Battlefield 2 launched as well as new map Operation Blue Pearl which is beta tested in the previous beta patches, as well the Highway Tampa map.
IMPORTANT: Remember that you need to have Battlefield 2 patched to 1.41 before you install Update 1.50! If you still have the 1.50 beta installed, you'll need to reinstall BF2 first.
