Ok, the news we wanted to announce. Treyarch announced the second mappack for Call of Duty: World at War. Nothing is confirmed for which platform it will be released. Stay tuned!
Considering the phenomenal support that the community has thrown behind Map Pack 1 and the demands that they’ve made for additional content, we’ve decided a 2nd Map Pack is in order! Today, we’re happy to bring you the first details of our next DLC.
Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 expands the addictive CoD multiplayer experience with three new multiplayer maps and one new co-op/Zombie map. Battle to control the river bridge in “Banzai” - a bright jungle map featuring a waterfall and hidden caves. In “Corrosion” face down your enemy in a shattered train yard, and in “Sub Pens” wipe the monsoon rain from your eyes as you struggle over a bombed-out submarine base. The Zombies make a return in “Shi No Numa” (Zombie Swamp) featuring Perk machines, the deadly new Wunderwaffe. Read the rest...

The Forgotten Hope 2 website posted a new update today showing some screenshots from a map called Purple Heart Lane. A map, based on the 0.7 map pack map 'The Road to Carentan - 1944'.
Hello and welcome back to another update of Forgotten Hope. This week we have a bunch of screenshots from the map 'Purple Heart Lane', by Natty Wallo. This map is based on the 0.7 map pack map 'The Road to Carentan - 1944', which was made by Pvt. Allen. The map portrays the advance of the US 101st Airborne Division over the Carentan Causeway. This causeway was nicknamed the 'purple heart lane', because so many men were shot on it. (The purple heart is a medal awarded to US soldiers who are wounded or killed by the enemy.) Read the rest...

Over at Shacknews, had a interview with Valve's Robin Walker about the upcoming patch for Team Fortress 2 and its features. The latest patch introduced a 50 slot backpack and a new slot for head gear.
Shack: Plenty of players love the achievements/unlockables, but the "grind" has intimidated others who thought of TF2 as a "pick-up-and-play" experience. Do you sympathize with the latter group?
Robin Walker: The feedback from these kinds of players, in addition to a variety of other players, has been one of the drivers behind this update. It'll provide multiple ways for players to get items, with a plan to add more over time. Some players want to use their skill to succeed, others want to be more casual. Our goal is to ensure that they all get to have some. Read the rest...

EA hasn't yet made any announcements about the multiplayer side of the game. The only thing we know for certain is that 40 people will be able to duke it out on to servers when the sequel hits rather than Bad Company's previous player cap of 24. New game modes and plenty of maps a shoo-in however, that's what sequels are made for after all. Read and check it out...

Hello and welcome back to another update of Forgotten Hope. Today we have a small announcement regarding our old forums, renders of the American machinegun and the German Panzer IV H, some screenshots taking during the betatesting of Lebisey and an advertisement from the German Forgotten Hope 2 community History is War. Before we carry on to any of this though, we would like to welcome our new modeller and skinner Herc!
It turned out after all that FileFront would stay online. Having already moved our forums and our website we decided that we will continue our 'official' forum at our current host Warumdarum.de. We have asked FileFront not to get rid of our forums though, but to keep it as an 'unofficial' forum. This simply means that you cannot count of developers visiting it. Read the rest...
